Why is there such a battle over film vs. digital? Why in deed do we have closed minds to such a simple thing as this?
Film by nature is the forth oldest way of preserving an image. Pre paper we have stone walls with early graffiti pictographs, then we find paper or a early form of canvas, then someone figured out how to put something on glass expose it to light dunk it and BAM Photograph, now comes film and lasted up to the last few years when digital hit the earth.
What is the big difference image is an image people still use stone to make images out of, still use cloth to make an image on or film. They put a film on cloth and print an image on it. the digital folks had glossy, flat, mat papers to print on now to just like the photographers what's up?
Well one day I was talking to some body about this and they said this to me and the group that was talking. "It's not the equipment but the person behind the lens"! Profound thought so what if you shoot a $5000.00 camera system or just a 10 dollar point and shoot. the method doesn't mean much if the person taking the picture can't convey his feelings through the shot!
Ponder that for now.
